Frisking the fixtures

The MLS announced to it's loyal fan-base the home openers of 2017 recently and it makes interesting reading for the two expansion teams of Minnesota United and Atlanta United. Minnesota United face a tough away trip to the Portland Timbers, while Atlanta welcome the New York Red Bulls to Georgia.

Atlanta United are making waves in MLS circles during the 2016 / 2017 off-season and they haven't gone unnoticed by those of us in MLS circles. As recently as yesterday, Atlanta United have signed Migual Almiron to a young DP player contract. The 22 year old will arrive for the 2017 season from Club Lanus in Argentina.  Known as an attacking midfielder, capable of playing either centrally or wide, Almiron has risen to prominence since making his debut for the National team in September of 2015. Since then, Miguel Almiron has been a fixture in the National side, making 8 first team appearances in World Cup qualifying and the Copa America Centenario.  Plus, the Atlanta United manager, Tata Martino is a huge admirer of Almiron's.  What does it mean for us MLS Fantasy manager's, how much will Almiron be in MLS Fantasy being a DP, we will have to wait and see...
